AT PRESENT WE HAVE NOT POST-PONED OR CANCELLED ALTHOUGH IT IS LOOKING INCREASINGLY LIKELY. UPDATES WILL BE PROVIDED AND ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS CONTACTED. Seafair Haven's biennial gathering of like-minded watercraft enthusiasts takes place again in Lawrenny, Pembrokeshire from 13 to 20th June 2020. This booking system allows boat and crew registration for the week's programme, not including camping. Camping is available for tents and campervans at the beautiful temporary campsite overlooking the Haven. Please make bookings directly with the Castle Campsite – contact Adrian Lort-Phillips – email [email protected] Traditional-style boats, vintage and contemporary, sail and oar, bilge and fin keel make their way, by road or sea, to meet up for a week-long programme of sailing, entertainment and relaxation in the upper reaches of the Milford Haven waterway. Hosted by local volunteers who are familiar with the tidal waters of the Cleddau and Cresswell rivers and estuary, Seafair welcomes repeat visitors and new friends to follow a gentle daily itinerary to destinations within the waterway, with lunches and BBQs plotted in. Evening entertainment is organised including traditional music, poetry, film, dinners and a party or two, based at Lawrenny Arms 'The Doghouse' pub, which has a pontoon. Popular features of the programme include the Pembroke River Run into Pembroke Castle's millpond, catching a pint or two on high water at the ever-popular traditional Cresselly Arms at Cresswell Quay, lunching at Angle Point House, convivial fleet sailing, free sail days, beautiful campsite and welcoming lunches at waterside pubs and pontoons. Run by charity the Tall Ships (Wales) Trust the event also provides an opportunity for larger vessels to be invited to Milford Haven Waterway, to Pembroke Dock and Milford Haven Docks where local community groups and young people get the chance to board or take short cruises on traditional vessels. The week culminates in a Parade of Sail on Saturday 20th June where members of the public flock to the waterside to catch a glimpse of the whole fleet sailing together, dockside performance and entertainment take place and ex-RNLI traditional lifeboats provide a colourful attraction for members of the public.
