It’s springtime in Wales and there are plenty of events taking place across the country to celebrate the season. Here are some of the best events taking place in West Wales and South Wales in April, Easter and May.
Abergavenny Food Festival – 12th-13th April
One of the UK’s best loved food festivals, Abergavenny Food Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The festival will feature over 200 food and drink stalls, as well as cookery demonstrations, talks, workshops, children’s activities and more.
Lambing Live at Green Meadow Community Farm – 12th-13th April
Head to Green Meadow Community Farm in Cwmbran for a weekend of all things lambing! As well as getting up close and personal with the baby lambs, there will also be tractor and trailer rides, face painting, a petting farm and more.
Easter Eggstravaganza at Dyffryn Gardens – 18th-21st April
Dyffryn Gardens in Vale of Glamorgan will be holding an Easter Eggstravaganza over the Easter weekend. There will be an Easter egg hunt, as well as a chance to meet the Easter bunny and take part in other Easter activities.
Hay Festival – 23rd May-2nd June
The Hay Festival is a 10-day celebration of literature, arts and culture, taking place in the picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye. The festival will feature over 800 events, with something for everyone, from talks and discussions to music and comedy.
