A Snowdonia Adventure: Hiking to the Top and Bottom

High and low in Snowdonia

If you’re looking for a Snowdonia walking holiday that takes in the best of the region’s scenery, then a high-low-level walk is the perfect option.

Snowdonia is home to Wales’ highest mountain, Snowdon, as well as a number of other peaks over 3,000 feet. But it’s not all about the heights – the region also has some stunning low-level walks.

A high-low-level walk combines the best of both worlds, taking in Snowdonia’s highest peaks as well as its beautiful valleys and low-level walks.

There are a number of different routes you can take, but one of the most popular is the Snowdon Horseshoe. This classic Snowdonia walk takes in Snowdon and a number of other peaks, including Crib Goch, before descending into the picturesque Llanberis Pass.

Another popular option is the Snowdon Ranger Path, which starts in the village of Snowdon Ranger and takes in the Snowdon massif before descending into the Nant Gwynant valley.

Whatever route you choose, a high-low-level walk in Snowdonia is the perfect way to experience the best of this stunning region.
