A family day out in Pwllheli
Pwllheli is a lovely town in North Wales and makes a great day out for the whole family. There’s plenty to see and do, and the town has a lovely beach too.

Visit the RNLI lifeboat museum
The RNLI lifeboat museum is a great place to learn about the work of the RNLI and the brave lifeboat crews. The museum is located in the old lifeboat station on the seafront, and is open from Easter to October.
Explore Pwllheli Market
Pwllheli Market is a great place to find fresh produce, local crafts and gifts. The market is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and there’s also a farmers’ market on the first Saturday of every month.
Visit Plas yn Rhiw
Plas yn Rhiw is a beautiful country house and gardens located just outside Pwllheli. The house dates back to the 16th century, and the gardens are well worth a visit too.
Take a walk along Pwllheli Promenade
Pwllheli Promenade is a lovely place to take a walk, and there’s plenty to see and do along the way. There’s a children’s play area, a putting green, a crazy golf course and plenty of places to get an ice cream or a cup of tea.
Have a go at paddleboarding
Paddleboarding is a great way to explore the coastline, and there are plenty of places to hire boards in Pwllheli. You can even take a paddleboarding lesson if you’ve never tried it before.
Visit Pwllheli Beach
Pwllheli Beach is a great place to spend a day, and there’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained. There’s a heated outdoor pool, a paddling pool, a playground, a putting green and plenty of sand to build sandcastles on.
