Our first stop on our beach exploration of Wales is the popular coastal town of Tenby. Situated in the county of Pembrokeshire, Tenby is a great base from which to explore the stunning coastline of this area. When it comes to beaches, Tenby has no shortage of fantastic locations. South beach is a popular destination, offering miles of golden sand and clear, shallow waters – perfect for a day of relaxation. For a little more adventure take a walk to the harbour wall or explore the many rock pools that this beach has to offer.
For something even more remote and undiscovered, take a trip to the stunning little cove of Aberdovey. Located on the West Wales coast, Aberdovey is a picturesque village surrounded by gorgeous countryside and a stunning beach. As well as miles of golden sand, there are also a number of interesting rock pools to explore. This is also a great spot for some fishing, with the shallow waters providing plenty of opportunities to catch some fish.
If you’re looking for something a little more rugged and dramatic, then the stunning Rhossili Bay is the perfect destination. Located on the Gower Peninsula, this stunning bay is surrounded by dramatic cliffs and miles of golden sand. From here you can also explore the nearby Worm’s Head, a small rocky island home to some of the rarest seabirds in Europe.
