As a mum of two, I know how hard it can be to find the perfect holiday destination for young families. With so many options out there, it can be hard to know where to start. But for me, there is nothing better than a beach holiday! Whether you’re looking for a staycation in the UK, or a beach holiday abroad, the combination of sun, sand, and sea makes for a perfect holiday experience with young families.
If you’re looking for a staycation, the UK is full of great beach destinations. From the rugged beauty of Cornwall to the sandy beaches of Wales, there are plenty of options to choose from. My personal favourite is the Isle of Wight, which is just a short ferry ride away from the mainland. The Isle of Wight offers a wealth of family-friendly activities, such as the Blackgang Chine theme park and the Dinosaur Isle museum. And of course, there are plenty of beaches to explore, including the ever popular Ventnor beach.
If you’re looking for a beach holiday abroad, there are lots of options available too. Spain and Portugal are both popular choices, with plenty of family-friendly beaches to explore. The Costa Brava in Spain is a great choice, with its crystal clear waters and golden sand beaches. Or, for a more secluded beach experience, you could choose the Algarve in Portugal. Here, you can find beautiful secluded coves, as well as a wealth of family-friendly activities like dolphin watching and boat trips.
No matter where you decide to go, there are lots of ways to make the most of your beach holiday. One of the best things about beach holidays is that they’re incredibly flexible. You can choose to spend all your time on the beach, or take some time to explore the local area. For me, the best way to experience a beach holiday with young families is to combine the two.
Start off your day with a morning on the beach, followed by a visit to a nearby attraction. Whether you choose a local museum, a nature reserve, or an animal park, there is always something to keep everyone entertained. Then, in the afternoon, head back to the beach for some more fun in the sun. A beach holiday with young families is all about making the most of your time together, so make sure you make the most of it!
Of course, a beach holiday with young families isn’t complete without some delicious food. Whether you’re staying in the UK or further afield, there are plenty of options available. If you’re staying in the UK, why not take advantage of the local fish and chips? Or, if you’re in Europe, why not try some of the local delicacies?
Finally, don’t forget to pack plenty of sun cream and hats – even if you’
