Wales is a great place to visit any time of year, but there’s something special about it in February. The weather is usually mild, making it perfect for exploring the outdoors, and there are plenty of events and activities taking place to keep everyone entertained.

Here are just a few of the things you can enjoy during your February half term break in Wales:

1. Take a winter walk

There’s nothing quite like a winter walk to blow the cobwebs away. Wrap up warm and head out into the fresh air – you’ll be surprised how invigorating it can be! If you’re not sure where to go, check out our list of the best winter walks in Wales.

2. Visit a castle

Wales is home to some of the most impressive castles in the UK, so make sure you include one (or two!) in your February half term plans. Conwy Castle, Caernarfon Castle and Beaumaris Castle are all great options, and you can even take a guided tour of some of them.

3. Go sledging

If you’re lucky enough to get some snow during your February half term break, make the most of it by going sledging! There are plenty of great sledging spots in Wales, so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

4. Get cosy by the fire

There’s nothing quite like curling up by the fire after a day out in the fresh air. Whether you’re staying in a cosy cottage or a luxury hotel, make sure you take some time to relax and enjoy the simple things in life.

5. Sample some Welsh food

Wales is renowned for its delicious food, so make sure you try some while you’re here! From Welsh cakes and cawl to laverbread and lamb, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste. And of course, you can’t come to Wales without trying a traditional Welsh rarebit!
